The ToupTek HOPE D60 is designed as an excellent telescope for astrophotography while also being ideal for beginners who want to explore the universe with ease. Unlike bulky reflecting telescopes, this compact APO refractor combines portability with a professional five-element optical system, minimizing chromatic aberration and delivering diffraction-limited clarity.

With its fast f/4.66 focal ratio and built-in field flattener, the HOPE D60 is a true astrograph, providing wide, flat images without the need for additional accessories. A dual-speed focuser and versatile threaded connections make setup easy for newcomers, while giving advanced users precise control for capturing galaxies, nebulae, and star fields.

The HOPE D60 astronomical telescope achieves a central RMS spot size <1.1 µm and the full-frame edge RMS <2.3 µm, delivering exceptionally fine, concentrated star points. Multi-wavelength focus remains consistent with near-zero chromatic aberration, ensuring sharp, accurate imaging across the field of view.

HOPE D60 is a high-resolution telescope for viewing planets and galaxies, delivering accurate celestial detail reproduction with exceptional uniformity — achieving MTF >0.95 at 10 LP/mm and >0.85 at 30 LP/mm, with minimal Sagittal/Tangential variation across the frame.

Exceptional Chromatic Aberration Control.

The axial aberration curve is flat, with multi-wavelength light converging on the same plane. This ensures minimal spherical and chromatic aberration, delivering sharp, color-accurate imaging across the entire field of view.

Even Brightness, No Edge Vignetting

The HOPE D60 refractor telescope maintains >90% relative illumination at the 44mm full-frame edge, meaning brightness difference between center and edge is <10%. The curve decays smoothly, ensuring uniform brightness with no vignetting.

The HOPE D60 refractor telescope delivers full-frame coverage (44mm image circle) with sharp stars across the entire field. Its built-in field flattener simplifies imaging — no extra back-focus calculation or additional flattener required. Optimal focus is achieved at 55mm connection distance.

Note: Due to precise focal plane and working distance engineering, use of a star diagonal for visual observation is not recommended.

HOPE D60 telescopecomes standard with an M48 adapter, compatible with various cameras and astrophotography accessories. An optional M54 adapter supports larger format imaging.
