QHYCFW2/3 Connection:

There are 2 ways to use QHYCFW2/3:

  1. When using a 4-pin serial cable to connect the wheel and the camera, StellaVita recognises the device through QHYSDK. Users need to configure the connection method on the wheel first (switch to serial port or camera control mode, then connect the QHY main camera that supports 4-pin port, and then the "QHYCFW (main camera model name)" format option will appear in the filter wheel available device list, select and connect.
  2. Use a USB cable to connect the wheel: StellaVita calls the device through the INDI driver. Users need to configure the connection method on the wheel first (switch to USB control mode), and then select "QHYCFW2" or "QHYCFW3" in the filter wheel device list. Note that this method currently has a bug and it is recommended to use a 4-pin cable to connect.

I found “EQMOD” in the drop down list, and set the baud rate to 115,200, and I am now able to connect and control my SkyWatcher EQ6R-Pro. But I have not tried this under the stars yet. I am fairly certain it will work.

The compatibility list shows SkyWatcher Equatorial mounts, but none are listed in the dropdown menu. Just “SkyWatcher Alt-Az”
