Advanced IMX571 APS-C Cooled Cameras for Deep-Sky Imaging
Powered by the Sony IMX571 APS-C sensor, the SkyEye26AM Plus (Mono) and SkyEye26AC Plus (Color) deliver 26MP resolution, 3.76μm pixels, and a 16-bit ADC for detailed, high-quality deep-sky imaging. Featuring advanced two-stage TEC cooling with up to 43°C temperature reduction, ultra-low read noise, zero amp-glow performance, and a 512MB DDR3 buffer, they provide clean, stable images during long exposures.

The 26MP APS-C sensor (6224 × 4168) delivers a wide field of view while preserving fine details in galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters.
The advanced BSI architecture provides excellent quantum efficiency, reaching >80% for the color version and >91% for the monochrome version, enabling efficient photon collection for faint deep-sky objects.
With up to 51ke⁻ full well capacity and read noise as low as 0.77e⁻ (Mono) and 0.79e⁻ (Color), the IMX571 delivers excellent dynamic range for capturing both faint structures and bright stellar details.
Designed to cover a wide range of astrophotography needs, the SkyEye Plus Series offers both Full-Frame and APS-C cameras, giving imagers the flexibility to choose the sensor format that best matches their telescope, imaging targets, and workflow. From wide-field deep-sky imaging to high-resolution capture of faint celestial structures, SkyEye Plus combines advanced sensors, deep cooling, low read noise, and high dynamic range for consistently clean, detailed results. SkyEye Plus is specially engineered for:
Designed for experienced imagers, deep-sky enthusiasts, and remote observatory users who demand high sensitivity, low noise, excellent dynamic range, and reliable performance for demanding imaging projects.
Whether you're using a compact telescope with an APS-C image circle or a premium optical system designed for full-frame coverage, SkyEye Plus offers the sensor format to match your setup. Full-frame models maximize field of view and optical coverage, while APS-C models provide an excellent balance of resolution, sensitivity, and system compatibility.
Featuring an onboard 512MB DDR3 buffer, the SkyEye Plus series camera ensures stable USB 3.0 data transfer, preventing frame loss and transmission-induced amp-glow. The camera supports digital pixel binning from 1x1 to 8x8 (via stacking or averaging) and hardware pixel binning from 1x1 to 3x3 (via averaging). On-sensor hardware binning provides significantly faster readout speeds and processing efficiency than software binning.
The integrated 5-port USB hub (4*USB2.0, 1*USB3.0) allows direct connection of accessories such as filter wheels, guide cameras, and focusers, reducing cable clutter and simplifying setup.

The SkyEye Plus series (except SkyEye45AC) camera features a specialized zero amp-glow circuit design that maintains a clean, perfectly uniform sensor background across multi-minute long exposures, protecting the faintest details of delicate nebulae.
The SkyEye Plus series optical window features an integrated smart heating system that actively measures ambient temperature and humidity. It automatically applies precise heat to prevent condensation, keeping your optical path crystal clear without introducing disruptive thermal air currents.

The camera utilizes a high-performance two-stage Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC) system. By achieving a cooling from -35°C to -42°C below ambient*, the SkyEye Plus series camera cools the sensor deeply and consistently, delivering exceptionally quiet background noise levels for long-exposure imaging.
*Note: Cooling performance may vary by model. Please refer to the product manual for detailed specifications.
Powered by the Sony IMX571 APS-C sensor, SkyEye26AM/AC Plus combines excellent sensitivity, low noise, and wide dynamic range for advanced astrophotography. The color version delivers quantum efficiency exceeding 80%, while the monochrome version achieves over 91% QE for enhanced photon capture in LRGB and narrowband imaging. With HCG mode reaching read noise as low as 0.79e⁻ (Color) and 0.77e⁻ (Mono), and LCG mode providing up to 51ke⁻ full well capacity, the IMX571 enables cleaner images, smoother gradients, and reliable performance across a wide range of deep-sky targets.
Which Series Do You Need
The ATR series features versatile sensors ranging from 1/1.2” up to APS-C (e.g., ATR585, ATR2600) to offer a balanced mix of performance and flexibility, whereas the flagship SkyEye series incorporates full-frame (35mm) and large-format sensors (e.g., SkyEye62AM) to maximize light-gathering area and deliver expansive, uncropped fields of view.
Choose the acquisition workflow that matches your imaging goals

The SkyEye62AM requires a regulated 12V 3A DC power supply for stable imaging and cooling performance.
Yes. The SkyEye62AM uses the Sony IMX455M full-frame monochrome CMOS sensor.
The monochrome sensor records incoming light without a Bayer color filter array, supporting high photon efficiency and detailed LRGB or narrowband imaging.
Use a telescope and corrector that can provide a flat image circle of approximately 44mm or larger so the full-frame sensor is properly illuminated.
For the imaging train, wide-clear-aperture M48 or M54 connections and large-format filters such as 2-inch or 50mm filters are recommended. Undersized adapters, filter wheels, or filters can restrict the light path and introduce vignetting near the frame edges.
The SkyEye62AM uses a two-stage Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC) system and can maintain a temperature differential of up to approximately 35°C below ambient temperature.
Actual cooling performance depends on ambient temperature, ventilation around the camera, the stability of the 12V 3A power supply, and the load from the optical-window heater. Keep the fan and airflow unobstructed for stable long-exposure operation.
The SkyEye62AM provides two backfocus configurations:
Use the selected configuration when calculating the total spacing for your corrector, filter wheel, off-axis guider, and other imaging-train components.
