From August 28 to 30, 2026, ToupTek Astro, together with our Japanese partner Gravity Astro, participated in the 43rd Tainai Star Party held in Tainai City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
The event brought together astronomy enthusiasts, astrophotographers, telescope users, and industry professionals from across Japan for three days of sharing, learning, and connecting under the theme of exploring the wonders of the night sky.

A Gathering Place for Japan’s Astronomy and Astrophotography Community
As one of Japan’s long-running astronomy events, Tainai Star Party has become an important gathering for astrophotographers, visual observers, and astronomy equipment enthusiasts.
More than just an exhibition of astronomy equipment and imaging technology, the event provides a unique opportunity for members of the astronomy community to exchange experiences, share astrophotography techniques, and connect with fellow stargazers.
Although this year’s event did not bring consistently clear skies and occasional rain added some unexpected moments to the observing experience, it never diminished everyone’s passion for astronomy.
From lively conversations at exhibition booths during the day to continued discussions between rain showers, the atmosphere remained full of enthusiasm. Visitors shared their experiences with astronomy cameras, astrophotography workflows, image processing techniques, and the personal stories behind their journeys of capturing the night sky.
Every conversation reminded us of the warmth and passion that make the global astrophotography community so special.

Showcasing ToupTek Astro's Latest Astronomy Imaging Products
During Tainai Star Party 2026, ToupTek Astro showcased a range of advanced astronomy imaging products, including the recently released AE676C multi-purpose astronomy camera and the SkyEye Plus Series deep-sky cooled astronomy cameras. We also introduced previews of upcoming products and shared our continued exploration of next-generation solutions for astrophotography and deep-sky imaging.
Through face-to-face conversations with astrophotographers and astronomy enthusiasts, we gained valuable feedback and insights from real-world users. These experiences will continue to inspire us as we improve our products and develop better imaging solutions for astronomy enthusiasts worldwide.

Recognition from Japan’s Astronomy Community
A highlight of this event was the publication of a product review article written by Shigemi Numazawa, the organizer of Tainai Star Party and a renowned Japanese astrophotographer, featuring ToupTek Astro products in the Japanese astronomy magazine Tenmon Guide.
This recognition represents not only an appreciation of ToupTek Astro’s astronomy imaging technology, but also a meaningful connection between astronomy enthusiasts in Japan and the global astrophotography community.

See You Again Under the Stars
Meeting our long-time supporters, users, and friends in person was one of the most valuable experiences of our journey to Tainai Star Party 2026.
We sincerely thank the organizers of Tainai Star Party for their great efforts in making this event possible, and we appreciate everyone who visited the ToupTek Astro booth, shared their experiences, and connected with us.
Whether the sky is perfectly clear or covered with clouds, the passion for exploring the stars never stops. We look forward to meeting you again under the stars.
