The Ultimate Full-Frame Monochrome Camera for Deep-Sky Imaging
Powered by Sony IMX455 61-megapixel full-frame monochrome CMOS sensor with 3.76μm pixels, SkyEye62AM maximizes light gathering efficiency and spatial detail across every frame. From faint, wispy dark dust lanes to dense, glowing star clusters,SkyEye62AM translates faint cosmic light into sharp, noise-free images without compromising your frame's true perspective.

Featuring a large 43.3mm diagonal sensor area, it captures broad cosmic landscapes without cropping, providing a breathtaking wide-field view of deep-sky targets.
With a native 9576 × 6388 pixel array and a 3.76μm pixel size, it balances high photon collection efficiency with exceptional spatial resolution to reveal intricate details in nebulae and galaxies.
Reaching a peak efficiency near 100% around 540nm and maintaining over 80% sensitivity across 430–650nm, it maximizes photon capture for narrow-band Ha, OIII, and SII emissions to reveal subtle deep-sky structures.
Tailored for experienced imagers, deep-sky survey enthusiasts, and remote observatory operators who demand top-tier spatial resolution, uncompromised signal extraction, and gallery-grade results.
Built for users who already own telescopes capable of delivering a flat 44mm+ image circle, with the budget to support large-format filters (2" or 50mm), wide-aperture imaging trains (M48/M54), and powerful processing workstations.
Delivering a peak quantum efficiency near 100% around 540nm and maintaining over 80% sensitivity across 430–650nm, the SkyEye62AM maximizes photon collection across critical Ha, OIII, and SII spectral bands.
Featuring an onboard 512MB DDR3 buffer, the camera ensures stable USB 3.0 data transfer, preventing frame loss and transmission-induced amp-glow. The camera supports digital pixel binning from 1x1 to 8x8 (via stacking or averaging) and hardware pixel binning from 1x1 to 3x3 (via averaging). On-sensor hardware binning provides significantly faster readout speeds and processing efficiency than software binning.

The camera features a specialized zero amp-glow circuit design that maintains a clean, perfectly uniform sensor background across multi-minute long exposures, protecting the faintest details of delicate nebulae.

The camera optical window features an integrated smart heating system that actively measures ambient temperature and humidity. It automatically applies precise heat to prevent condensation, keeping your optical path crystal clear without introducing disruptive thermal air currents.

The camera utilizes a high-performance two-stage Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC) system. By achieving a cooling around -45 °C to - 35°C below ambient, the camera cools the sensor deeply and consistently, delivering exceptionally quiet background noise levels for long-exposure imaging.
Which Series Do You Need
The ATR series features versatile sensors ranging from 1/1.2” up to APS-C (e.g., ATR585, ATR2600) to offer a balanced mix of performance and flexibility, whereas the flagship SkyEye series incorporates full-frame (35mm) and large-format sensors (e.g., SkyEye62AM) to maximize light-gathering area and deliver expansive, uncropped fields of view.
Choose the acquisition workflow that matches your imaging goals

The SkyEye62AM requires a regulated 12V 3A DC power supply for stable imaging and cooling performance.
Yes. The SkyEye62AM uses the Sony IMX455M full-frame monochrome CMOS sensor.
The monochrome sensor records incoming light without a Bayer color filter array, supporting high photon efficiency and detailed LRGB or narrowband imaging.
Use a telescope and corrector that can provide a flat image circle of approximately 44mm or larger so the full-frame sensor is properly illuminated.
For the imaging train, wide-clear-aperture M48 or M54 connections and large-format filters such as 2-inch or 50mm filters are recommended. Undersized adapters, filter wheels, or filters can restrict the light path and introduce vignetting near the frame edges.
The SkyEye62AM uses a two-stage Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC) system and can maintain a temperature differential of up to approximately 35°C below ambient temperature.
Actual cooling performance depends on ambient temperature, ventilation around the camera, the stability of the 12V 3A power supply, and the load from the optical-window heater. Keep the fan and airflow unobstructed for stable long-exposure operation.
The SkyEye62AM provides two backfocus configurations:
Use the selected configuration when calculating the total spacing for your corrector, filter wheel, off-axis guider, and other imaging-train components.
